Recanissu Apartment is a lovely and bright location, 4th floor over Vernazza main street. It’s the property one  you would love to rent and feel like a local! It’s a spacious family apartment, characterised for its large rooms and 2 bathrooms, an authentic rarity in Vernazza. Well equipped, provided with air conditioning in kitchen and master bedroom (second bedroom has no AC but remains always cool) and with a long terrace, strategically located on the main street, midway from the train station to the marina. It’s ideal location even for long rentals.

The Apartment

Access to Recanissu Apartment is from Via Visconti, second part of the main street. The apartment is on a fourth floor, the top of the building, with steep steps (guests are advised!). On entering the apartment we find a bright entrance hall, then a second large hall on which all the apartment rooms open:

a smaller bathroom with shower

a twin bedroom  (with ceiling fan) with extra bed cot and a second balcony overlooking the “caruggetto”, one of the most curious backroad of the village. On the balcony we have the washing machine.

The kitchen and double bedroom balcony are the winning elements of Recanissu Apartment. It is an amazing observation point of the main street and its life. From here we can also see the tower castle and the “Sciuio” part of the village where hardly the sun beats.  Charming views also of the Muin a Ventu, the second tower of the village that was once a wind mill and now a historical villa for rental.

Kitchen and double bedroom have air conditioning while second bedroom (which is anyway cooler) has ceiling fan and in the very hot days it is sufficient to start the machine just for a short time to cool down the temperature. If the season is not very hot it is sufficient to open opposite windows to get an ideal and agreeable temperature. Please, limit the use of air conditioning both for your health and for saving our planet.

Recanissu Apartment is a comfortable and relaxing property. It is therefore ideal for families. There are many steps inside the building, we can’t deny that, and the last portion of steps is steep. Anyway, once you get to the top, you’ll really feel “at home”. You stay at Recanissu will let you live like a local the village atmosphere!

Good to Know

“Recanissu” means in local dialect “licorice”. The apartment bears this name because of part of the apartment floor, which is black as licorice.

Via Visconti, where the property is located, is the second portion of the main street that curiously bears two names. Apparently it’s a long uninterrupted street connecting the train station to the main square and the marina.

The first part is Via Roma. It ends with the Pharmacy on your left and with Pizzeria da Basso on your right.

Please Note: in the event of malfunctioning of some equipment and services, including air conditioning, dishwashers, washing machines, telephones, wifi and any other equipment and in the event of a gas cut and/or lack of heating, the Cinque Terre Riviera will promptly act to provide support and resolve the fault. Since the structures are located in the National Park area, intervention times are often longer and understanding is required for these difficulties. Cinque Terre Riviera will not be held responsible for problems not due to its negligence and will not grant refunds for such inconveniences. Turning on the heating is prohibited by law from Apr 1st to  Nov  08th.
